Killing dogs....does it make sense?

Now our municipal corporation will kill all street dogs it finds an "annoyance" , according to a new court order. There are around 75,000 street dogs in mumbai .Instead of following proper methods like sterlization....we will just adopt a shortcut...eradicate them. Its surprising that the definition of annoyance given by the court is so vague that you could kill a street dog for fun and noone will bat an eyelid.
Come to think of it, as it is noone can.
But these poor creatures....is it a sin to be a street animal? Where are all those people for animal etc hiding? Where is Maneka Gandhi?
A recent study says that street dogs can be trained to detect bombs.If you go by the numbers above, we can make mumbai quite a secure city if we plan to train these poor but intelligent creatures.Its a shame on our country if we let the courts get away with such a stupid and absurd order. I appeal to all reading this to oppose this very act.
