I was quite a child when this song was released ...and was fascinated when I heard it le premiere temps.
Its a very famous song by the brazilian band sepultura ...and has bazillions of fans . I have often wondered what ratamahatta means but never bothered enough to look it up.. I mean , come on ...its a song in portugese ...who cares to learn the meaning of the whole song ..besides, i will never be able to sing it .
So i was quite surprised to find pages dedicated on quora for the meaning of ratamahatta .....and i realised that its not a word at all in portugese ...It has no meaning ...which is fine
. But then , some dhedhshane ( i cant find a better word, sorry ...please ask your marathi friends what this means) tried to translate it by breaking it into rata ( rat ) and mahataa( again nothing ...so they tried to link this to mahatma gandhi since he is quite a rage in brazil)
So does that mean that the word implies that Gandhi was a rat ? I am sure anti -Gandhi people will totally dig this .
For saner people, guys relax! I am wondering what will happen if Dhinka Chika becomes a world wide rage and people start deciphering the meaning of these two famous words ....
