The date for the server cutover is fast approaching .....2nd oct is the go-live date which will decide whether we are doomed or delivered.These guys have selected 30th floor as the war room.
For remote-infra-management-terminology-challenged,war room is the place used by all the heads of varoius technical teams during server cutover,so that if a component goes wrong,they can directly ask each other and get it fixed,instead of running from pillar to post.
I was a little disapponted when I saw John's room being converted to warroom.....nothing fancy except for ten odd PCs.All these guys would work saturday and sunday...
What about us?If framework poses issues,we would be dragged in too .Last weekend we saved ourselves by being out of reach by going to whiterock lake...In the evening Vibhor took us to Mckinney,the nightlife wala area of dallas.....while we sat in Primo sipping our poisons,A gori wrapped herself around poor Vikas refusing to let go....somehow we convinced her she was strangulating the wrong guy........but we had our share of fun.
So I guess its time to be in the best bib and tucker................wait and watch.
