Dolores O' Rierden supposedly sang these for her daughter, But I often wonder if this is a song she sang to herself( or wanted her listeners to understand the hidden meaning). When I listen to it I feel that its an appeal made by a woman to her true self ,reminding it that its beautiful, and that noone can come amidst oneself and one's soul if one tries.

Why do we often forget that if we are imitating others,make friends with people only because they might be 'useful people' even if we cringe in their company, talk and laugh the way people want us to, we are only stifling ourselves? That we are not really happy?
I would rather have a million people hating me than being adorable and in company of stiflers and phonies.
